For one unforgettable night, our tiny Lake Michigan arts community undergoes a spectacular metamorphosis.
What began in 1998 as a gathering of fewer than 100 people has grown into one of the region’s biggest and most anticipated events, drawing an estimated 15,000–20,000 visitors to Douglas during the shoulder season.
As night falls, downtown is transformed into a theatrical, highly visual spectacle filled with creativity, costumes, performance, and surprises around every corner.
What is normally a village of fewer than 1,400 residents becomes the stage for an experience unlike anything else in the area.

Paraders spend all year developing characters and practicing routines to "oooo" and "aaaa" crowds. This event is not to be missed!
